March Recap

Happy Monday!

As you've probably noticed, I didn't do a whole lot of blogging from March to July as we were busy tying up loose ends in Virginia and making our way to Illinois. However, we've been semi-settled at my parents' house (our temporary home until August) for a few weeks now so I think I owe you some decent recaps. ;)

Over the next 2 weeks I'll be posting recaps of the shenanigans we've been getting ourselves into, so stay tuned.
March 2-4: My cousins, Rebekah and Scott, came to visit. We had dinner at the always-delicious Carlyle and they introduced us to Carcassonne (now one of our favorite games). We also visited the Old Post Office Pavillion and Hirshhorn Museum of Contemporary Art.

March 9: Arctic Monkeys and The Black Keys concert with Josh and his old roommate, Jake at the Verizon Center.
March 10: We celebrated our friend, Charles', birthday with dinner at Chili's and some games at home.

March 14: The twinsies got their first hair cut and both were traumatized. Poor, sweet boys.
March 16: Two days later, they both came down with yucky fevers, upset tummies, and stuffy noses for the first time as well.

March 18: I came down with the flu, but Josh and I attended Day 1 of the Laugh Your Way To A Better Marriage conference. So fun! Mark Gungor is a hoot and a half! Maybe one day we'll go again and catch Day 2.
March 19 - 25: Josh took emergency leave to Ohio to visit his grandpa who was suffering from complications due to bone and prostate cancer. While he was gone, someone tried to break into our apartment. Needless to say, I bought a door alarm on my way home from work the next day and slept with a knife until Josh came home.

March 30th: Josh saved up a bunch of leave days, sold them back, and spoiled himself with a new iPad 2. We played that crazy MegaMillions lotto...and obviously lost. Haha! I also mailed out my Spring Swap package to Taylor!

March 31: I had an interview for a nannying job in Champaign via Skype. Josh and I immediately clicked with the parents and I got the job on the spot!

Whew! March was such a busy month. Can't wait to tell you all about April's adventures! :)

You was busy in March!

I got sad when you wrote that the twins were traumatized. Poor babies :(

Have a great week!
