June Recap

June 1-9: We attended a Real Change Workshop hosted by Elk Mountain Academy to learn more about what my brother, and other addicts, go through. My parents had been to 3 before, but Josh and I learned SO much.

After completing the 3-day conference, my brother was able to come with us on a family vacation to Seattle. It was so fun! Seattle has so much to do and Josh and I fell in love with North Seattle. :) More on this later!

June 14-16: We spent the weekend at my aunt and uncle's lake house in Newago, Michigan. The guys loved being out on the boat and jet skiing. I, on the other hand, did not so I stayed inside with a good book. We also attended the wedding of one of my cousins and spent the night at my cousins house before heading home the next day.
June 16: I stopped biting my nails!

June 20: I attempted to make my favorite snack, fruit leather, at home instead of buying the Archer Farms brand from Target (recipe here!). It looked and smelled gorgeous going in the oven, but when I took it out at the end of the day the edges were burnt and the inside was still goop. I was extremely disappointed because I'd been wanting to try this for a very long time, hence the reason there are no pictures of the end result. :(

June 21: Josh and I got up bright and early to head south to Champaign. From 9am-4pm, we went through Josh's "freshman" orientation and he registered for classes. It had been a while since we'd been on the campus (and the last time we saw it, it was the middle of winter) - it was fantastic!
Afterward, we met my "new family" in person for the first time. They're so great and the kids are fun. I can't wait to start my new job in August! :)

June 23: Got the eating right down, now I just need to master the exercise.

June 28: I said goodbye to my computer and all it's data and we welcomed a new MacBook Pro Retina into our Apple-licious family. *Side note - we're selling 2 Apple computers in August! Both are in perfect shape, but one is obviously hard drive-less. Let me know if you're interested. :)

That's it for June and that's in for the recaps! There's not a whole lot of excitement going on in July, so we'll get back to our regular broadcasting. ;)

Hope you're having a fabulous day!

How much does a hard drive cost for a Mac? I need either a new laptop or to have mine fixed. But I might be interested!!
