New Neighborhood + New Shoes = New Me

This past Sunday Josh and I headed out to Potomac Mills to buy a few more things at IKEA. While we were in the area we decided to explore the mall next door. Something you should know about this mall...it's HUGE. So huge that walking from one end to the other kills your feet and earns you a hibachi dinner. Yep, it's that big.

Anywho, while we were at the mall we bought a few things. Josh bought a new pair of swim trunks at Oakley for our honeymoon (only a few more weeks!) and I bought some running shorts at Under Armour. But there was just one problem...Why would I buy running shorts if I have no running SHOES?

Well, I have shoes. In fact, I have these shoes from Lands End and I love them. I've been wearing them as tennis shoes since I've bought them and I'm in love with them. But they're not the greatest for long, high-intensity walking or running. I've actually worn them so much that the bottoms are wearing thin. So it's only fitting that I buy a new pair of shoes, right?

YES! I LOVE SHOE SHOPPING! My hubby knows this too, so he was in big trouble when he told me that I needed to start exercising more because he KNEW I had no suitable shoes for such a thing. So we headed off to Finish Line and we both tried on shoe after shoe trying to find ones we liked. We each finally settled on a pair of Brooks shoes.

They're super comfy, lightweight, and supportive. Perfect for PT for Josh and exercising for me. So we both walked out with a new pair of shoes. I bought the Green Silence and Josh bought Glycerin 8. We're in LOVE!

Green Silence.

Glycerin 8.

I walked a mile and a half today around our beautiful, homey neighborhood wearing my new shoes and could not be happier. We chose a great place to live and it's the perfect area for walking in the mornings. Now that I've got me some fiiiiine shoes and a lovely, walker-friendly neighborhood maybe I'll be more inclined to get my booty in shape....especially with that Hawaiian honeymoon just around the corner. =)
